SEGA announced RGG Studio’s Stranger Than Heaven reached 1 million wishlists from gamers across platforms.
According to the SEGA’s press release, Stranger Than Heaven had 1 million clicks on wishlist before this month. It makes the game an anticipated title from the developer just four months away from release.
The game’s wishlist count is comparable to the recent blockbuster game Pragmata of Capcom that had 2 million wishlist clicks and 2 million demo downloads just a month before its release.
With the success of the beloved Yakuza franchise, Stranger Than Heaven might feel the reverence its predecessor had experienced. Its elements are present in the game with a new unique story that everyone is excited to unravel.
Stranger Than Heaven is the upcoming title by RGG Games. It tells the story of a detested outsider by either of his Yakuza heritage. The game will also delve into culture’s origin and why they felt compelled to create it.
Announced in 2025 with a sneak peak of the story followed by a story trailer in May 2026, Stranger Than Heaven is set to launch on January 15, 2027 on Xbox, Playstation, and Steam.
