CIRRA was formed through GALBATO – GIRLS BATTLE AUDITION –, a nationwide audition project led by Harumi Sato, the former leader of E-girls. Part of LDH JAPAN, the entertainment company behind EXILE, E-girls became one of Japan’s most prominent female dance and vocal groups during the 2010s, helping define the sound and style of the country’s pop scene in the final decade of the Heisei era. Building on this legacy, CIRRA officially debuted in March 2026, with their debut EP one-way-runway / Always featuring “Always,” which reached No. 1 on Billboard JAPAN’s Heatseekers Songs chart.
The track “I like it” sees CIRRA embracing a contemporary dance sound built around house-inspired production, combining a sleek, stylish arrangement with lyrics in both English and Japanese. With its cool atmosphere and dynamic sound, the track brings out a confident side of CIRRA and highlights the group’s energy as performers. The song was written by Mayu Wakisaka, with composition by Rajan Muse, Mayu Wakisaka and Louise Lindberg, and arrangement by Rajan Muse.
The track forms part of Snow Dress / I like it, an EP exploring two contrasting sides of CIRRA through its pair of title tracks. While “I like it” draws on an upbeat dance sound and a more energetic atmosphere, “Snow Dress” takes a slower and more emotional approach, offering a different perspective on the group’s musical identity. “Snow Dress” is set for release on November 2.
Following “Ready, steady, glow!,” released on October 1, “I like it” is the second of three singles leading up to the EP. The final pre-release track, “Snow Dress,” will follow on November 2, before Snow Dress / I like it arrives in full on November 18.
