Still curious about the boys? Our correspondent, Jibe, who had the chance to attend the ONE OR EIGHT Special SHOW CASE 2026 in Asia -V8- last October 23, 2026, shared his experience for everyone to know.
As someone who often only listens to JP songs such as AniSongs and a few J-Pop songs here and there, I did find myself half-curious and half-worried in my expectations on how the whole concert experience will end up for me. One or Eight is a male group, to which I initially thought that it would be the female audience that would be the target demographic for their performance. But after the event, I was indeed a converted fan.
As someone who was a bit worried from the start, it was the complete reverse of how it went. From familiar sounds to catchy beats, you just can’t help but be swayed by the music. Not to mention the cool choreographed dance to top off the already cool music.
It was a 2 hour and so concert of hip-hop and rap, definitely some if not all songs that you’ll just vibe to. I have to mention that while they’re a JP group, most of the songs were made in English lyrics, probably helped to make their songs more memorable to the fans internationally, some of the songs sang I easily recognize days after the event, definitely catchy. Also, I liked how while they are a group, with most of the performance done together, each members also have solo performance prepared which made fans with specific oshis happier and cheer louder for each of them.
Towards the end, the group still have the energy to provide an encore performance to everyone, something I really appreciate as an attendee. In total, its almost 30 songs performed, I’m sure everyone that attended felt satisfied and happier by the time it ended.
I’m thankful to the team organizing this event, I’m sure the actual fans appreciate it too. You really can’t say their japanese group name, Ichi ka bachi ka, without saying Ichi. I’m sure this group have the capacity and will indeed do so to be amongst the Ichis in the industry. And I do hope to hear more from them, both online and in live session in the future~!
