A Dose of Therapy and Detox with One Ok Rock

ONE OK ROCK returns for their upcoming fourth concert and 10th anniversary in the Philippines!

With just a month left, our boys will once again grace the Philippine concert stage at the Mall of Asia arena, the same stage where they first met their Filipino fans back in January 19, 2016, for their 35XXXV Asia Tour.

I still remember the hype from the fans back then as the VIP ticket holders at the time began to chant “ONE OK ROCK” (One O’ Clock, the original pronunciation of the band) as they began to flood the VIP section of the arena. Their faces were also gleaming as most of them were first-time attendees for the Japanese act, just like me. It was that moment that made me love and want to support them more as what we heard from the recordings is the same live, no… even better.

Then came their second concert for their Ambitions album. Fans were excited as the wait was just less than two years when they announced the Asia tour for their latest album at the time. While it wasn’t sold with a full house, Filipino fans still made it memorable for them as the crowd went wild with their cheers, making a long lasting impression to the boys.

One Ok Rock was set to return 2 years later after their Ambitions tour, the Eye of The Storm album tour back in 2020, but as we all know, another kind of storm plagued the world: the COVID-19 pandemic.

While fans were saddened about the concert’s postponement, concert organizer PULP Live World told fans that they still have an option to hold on to their tickets or refund it until a new date for their return is set. Fans were divided as some had the privilege to hold on, but some sadly had to let go due to the trying times which was the pandemic.

Then came 2023, One Ok Rock finally could return to meet their Filipino fans. An excruciating wait of 5 years to see them again live was worth it. You can see the fans put on their efforts all together with the return of the tarpaulin for the fans to sign as a gift for the boys; fellow fans giving away handmade trinkets, pins, exchanges of merchandize, and more that made every One Ok Rock concert special and memorable.
